Join us for an insightful evening to celebrate the official book launch of How to Be Sustainable: Business Strategies for Leading Change, co-written by the Co-Director of the Centre for Sustainable Business Professor Paolo Taticchi and UCL School of Management, Researcher and Consultant Melina Corvaglia-Charrey.

Moderated by Simone Flippetti, Journalist at revered Italian publication Il Sore 24 Ore, expect to see a panel discussion and fireside chat featuring the authors, Paolo Taticchi and Melina Corvaglia-Charrey alongside selected Chief Sustainability Officers from around the world.

Their discussion will explore the key insights from the book which can help organisations to meaningfully engage in driving sustainable change and will draw on the unique stories of sustainable transformation from our guest CSOs.

Meet the authors

Paolo Taticchi

Paolo Taticchi is a Professor of Strategy and Sustainability and Deputy Director at UCL School of Management, where he co-directs the UCL Centre for Sustainable Business. A global expert in sustainability and strategy, he has trained thousands of Fortune 500 executives, taught at top business schools such as Imperial College London, and developed business projects across five continents.

His widely cited research includes over 50 publications and books such as How to Be Sustainable (2025) and Disruption(2023). In 2025, his research on impact investing was highly commended by the Financial Times for making a real difference. A sought-after speaker and advisor, he has delivered 250+ talks attended by more than 100,000 people and serves on several international advisory boards.

As an entrepreneur, he co-founded four companies and led major educational initiatives. His accolades include Poets & Quants “Top 40 Under 40 Business Professors in the World”(2018), being mentioned by Sole 24 Ore as the most influential Italian under 40 (2021-23), and inclusion in the Thinkers50 Radar List (2025).

Melina Corvaglia-Charrey

Melina is a Researcher at UCL School of Management, where she works on various projects focused on business strategy and sustainability, including developing case studies and white papers. Melina is also a consultant supporting organisations with their sustainability reporting, marketing and communications efforts. In collaboration with Professor Paolo Taticchi and Melissa Demartini, Melina co-authored a book titled “Sustainable Transformation Strategy”, published in May 2023. She is also the co-host of a podcast series titled “Chief Sustainability Heroes”, which she co-hosts with Professor Paolo Taticchi. Leaning on her marketing and sustainability experience, Melina also worked as a Sustainable Content Marketing Strategist for a UK based consulting agency specialising in the sports and sustainability field. Passionate about the role sport can play in driving sustainability forward, she also served as a member and volunteer with Sport and Sustainability International, a not-for-profit organisation that is focused on accelerating sustainability in and through sport.

Previously, Melina worked in the Media Sponsorship & Marketing field for 15+ years in Canada, where she collaborated with various Fortune 500 companies and brands to develop strategic partnership marketing initiatives, including several programmes that garnered awards from the Sponsorship Marketing Council of Canada. A mother of two young girls, Melina is motivated to collaborate with organisations and individuals who are committed to creating a better world for future generations. She is based in Toronto, Canada.
