UCL School of Management is pleased to announce on Thursday 29 May, we will be hosting the Sustainability and Social Good Summit: The Future of Purpose-Driven Entrepreneurship at One Canada Square!
In collaboration with MSc Entrepreneurship Masters student, Tally Bevis and UCL School of Management Assistant Professor, Jen Rhymer, and support from UCL Grand Challenges' ChangeMakers Grant, which focuses on the Climate Crisis and Social Good, we are providing an educational and hands-on dialogue that challenges the next generation of entrepreneurs coming from inside UCL School of Management. We will bring awareness to the key drivers of the Sustainability and Social Good sectors and bring light to the misconceptions around for-profit businesses being mutually exclusive of sustainability, and having the widest impact for good.
Day Summit
Open to UCL School of Management students and alumni, we welcome you to join us for a hands-on, day summit designed for those who are interested in using business as a force for good. This summit will feature workshops, panel discussions, and networking sessions focused on the intersection of sustainability, entrepreneurship, and social impact. With thought leaders, successful founders, and sustainability experts in attendance, the day will empower future business leaders to integrate climate-conscious and socially responsible strategies into their ventures from day one.
Agenda
The Sustainability and Social Good Summit begins at 09:00 BST with a coffee and networking session, followed by dynamic guest speakers working in the fields of entrepreneurship, ESG, and consulting. Lunch will be provided. The summit attendees will then be tasked with a Sustainability-themed entrepreneurial challenge with only a few hours to prepare a hackathon-style presentation. The presentations will take place at the evening reception in front of our distinguished panel and audience.
We ask that summit attendees stay for the reception to share their innovative solutions to a real-world challenge and enjoy valuable networking time with the UCL community. Please ensure you register for both the day summit and evening cocktail reception to guarantee your place.
All attendees will receive a Certificate of Completion for the Sustainability and Social Good Summit as well as photos to share on LinkedIn in recognition of their accomplishment. Certificates will be presented at the evening reception. Summit attendees are asked to wear smart or business casual and are welcome to bring a change of clothes for the evening, but please note that this is not required.
