We are thrilled to announce that UCL School of Management alumna Ina Jovicic and UCL Engineering alumni Gaelic Jara Reinhold and Alex Chalakov have successfully raised $2.7 million in funding for their start-up, eNOugh. This marks a significant milestone in their mission to transform personal safety through cutting-edge technology.
Founded in 2022, eNOugh is developing the eNO badge, an AI-powered wearable designed to act as a personal safety companion. The badge uses advanced threat detection to autonomously recognise danger, activate protective features, and live-stream evidence to the police, eliminating the need for manual activation or human reaction. This innovation aims to introduce a new culture of safety and make protection accessible to everyone.
The inspiration behind eNOugh came from Ina’s own experience of being attacked while walking home in central London. Determined to address the lack of safety for women and others in vulnerable situations, Ina channelled this challenge into creating a solution that leverages recent advancements in AI to tackle very real safety concerns.
The $2.7M round was led by A*Ventures, with participation from Comma Capital, Karman Ventures, intuition, and several notable angels and scouts from Index Ventures, Notion Capital, Ventures Together, and more. Among the investors is Kevin Hartz, renowned for backing companies such as Airbnb, Pinterest, PayPal, and Uber, as well as security-focused ventures like Flock Safety.
This funding will accelerate eNOugh’s journey to bring the eNO badge to market and redefine personal safety. Congratulations to Ina, Gaelic, and Alex on this incredible achievement - we can’t wait to see the impact this innovation will have.
